This oil filler cap is a product that I designed to fit the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X line of cars. Pro-Precision Machining in Boise, ID did the CAD & production. They were sold solely on the car enthusiast site EvoXForums.com.

I decided to create these oil caps after being dissatisfied with the other available options, designs, & price-points. I measured the boring plastic cap that came with the car & created my designs in Illustrator, with those measurements in mind.

After checking the market interest for these oil caps, I brought my design over to the machine shop. They then converted my design to a usable CAD format & began production. They also did the laser etching of my specified typeface & size.

The oil caps were available in three anodized colors (black, blue, & red). A raw aluminum version without engraving was also offered to the buyers (for further customization).
