Laying on the cool ground under the cover of brush, in the most beautiful silence any 17 year old girl could ever ask for. Rose could slightly see the clouds slowly making their way across the sky with the aid of the breeze that also brushed through the trees and across her soft face. Bits of sun light shown its way through while scattering over the floor with the sudle promise of warmth, and keeping undisturbed by the surroundings.
The combination of the cool floor, warmth of the sun, and dancing of the clouds made this place more than her cone of silence.
“Hi”
suddenly, Rose flung forward to see the man that had interrupted a most perfect moment. Her head only came to just under his chin and he wore a long top hat and a pea-green suit. He seemed extremely skinny with a bizarre appearance as he bowed very low with his ridiculous hat upon his left hand, when he said,
“Good day to youmiss...”
“What are you doing here.... Who are you?”
“Well your majesty, I am the guide. I am here to restive you.”
His voice was overly giddy and excited as he returned the hat to his greasy head.
Standing to his full height, he reached out with his right hand which had a ring on every finger, palm up, exposing his dry, cracked hand.
“Take my hand and I’ll show you something truly amazing.”
Rose didn’t know what to think of the funny looking man as she debated on what to do or what to think as he became quite. Patient, with a slight smile of confidence crossing his face…
Something about him made her feel compelled to grab his hand. As she slowly put her's on his, she noticed it was oddly wormer than she expected and his smirk broke into an attractive smile causing Rose to first notice his eyes,, brown and inviting. Compeatly full of innocence and passion.
“Take a look Rose.”
Rose realized that she was in a courtyard surrounded by creatures… Elves, Fairies, and many other magical life forms, in laughing conversations, and a seemlying excitement.
She gazed at her new surroundings, at the cottages and stores surrounding the open area.
When she eventually her eyes came acros a castle that seemed to touch the sky.
It's massive beauty built for the entire area to see.
...............
Suddenly Rose realized she was staring out of a window. She turned to see a big bedroom with a queen sized bed. Gold drapes suspended from a metal bar attached to the celling in the center of a round white room with pink trimming. The floor had a map imprinted on it and Rose noticed the water, on the floor, was moving.
“That is the map of your world. You can locate anyone; and even communicate with the people, while having perfect safety from your castle.”
“What happened!!?”
“I grabbed your shoulder bringing you here away from crowds. The courtyard is dangerous for your safety because of large crowds.
No one else is allowed in this chamber because it’s protected by my magic.” He became stern, but not overly so. “I have one more thing to show you before we go to your party.”
His voice returned to kindness and he walked closer to Rose with his hand out. More gently gesturing than he had before she witnessed the courtyard. Even though Rose was hesitant, his close presents brought her eyes to his.
She wanted to feel his worm hands again and to be closed in his sourndings. Rose could swere they where the only two alive. This time he collapsed his hand on her head and pulled her to his chest closing the fearful distance that she wondered how she now would ever be able to stand. Incased in his worm hug and hearing the slow beat of his heart, Rose wanted to live in that moment forever. A part of him forever and surounded by his smell... Rose closed her eyes slightly wishing for such a reality of ever after.
...............
Taking his hand away, while moving to her to the side, Rose now seeing almost an endless river of hills covered in the greenest grass she had ever laid her eyes on.
The waving grass flowed with the movement of the wind. Completing the illusion of the ground seeming to be an ocean of green green grass.
High up on a hill she could also see a cliff off into a deep blue ocean.
The air so clear and crisp she could make out each individual wave crashing onto the beach effortlessly, but continently trying to claim the land.
To her left was a castle off in the distance, surrounded by cottages, and she could almost barley made out movement of what she thought to be villagers. The land stretched in richness as it glowed from the sun in mid sky,
But excluding a smaller area covered by the forest. An area so dark it was even noticeable imattality by Rose from the extreme distance they stood from it.
The second thought that had gone through Rose’s head was an over compelling sensation from the presence of beauty that her heart was not used to.
The first thought was “What is this place?”
