Designing open space areas whichhave multiple purposes had significant influence on postulating the concept.Open space areas were designed as extensions to teaching rooms, as areas forrest and play and as a school door towards the surrounding because they have arole of connecting a school complex with its local community, in view of theircontent. In such a manner a school becomes a part of urban surrounding wherethe local community has an active role in the life of the complex. Multiple-purposeareas of a school complex are designed around the central courtyard, and insuch a way they form a connection with the surrounding and provide permeationof different functions.
