- Website - Prescription Pitch
Put into groups and assigned a real world company we encountered a variety of issues and were required to put forth crisis communication tactics and messaging in a semester long practicum. I had the opportunity to be assigned CBI Health as our company and was able to emerge myself in the health care sector.
One of our assignments was to implement a community recognition program. We created The "Prescription Pitch" Drug Drive. The idea was to encourage participants to come in to drop off their expired medications and inform the community about the dangers of prescription misuse. The drive would start of the week with a kick off event using a local Toronto Blue Jay's Pitcher and would involve both the community and CBI Health's employees and stakeholders.
I created a website for the week long drive with the objective to educate – specifically to inform the Toronto community of the dangers of holding on to unused prescriptions and what they can do to solve the problem.
I also created an employee intranet site to inform our Toronto based employees of the drive, alerting them of training sessions to collect and dispose of the drugs, and urging them to sign up to volunteer for the kick off day.
