PRAIA DA COSTA NOVA
Two sailors wanted to show to tourists that the estuary of Aveiro was more than just the urban channels. São Jacinto, Barra Beach and Costa Nova are some of the places, outside the city, that are worth visitingg. They fell in love with a barge that used to do the crossing between Aveiro and São Jacinto. More than 3.5 milion people travelled in this barge untill it was abandoned in 2006.
The two brave sailors restored it with the aim of promoting the region.
For us, the challenge was to create a visual identity that would stand out and attract more tourists. We created a serial of illustration of typical sights: Aveiro with Art Nouveau architecture, São Jacinto and it's natural park, the lighthouse of Barra's Beach and the typical striped houses of Costa Nova. We applied those illustrations into several composition for business cards, flyers and to a small partners presentation.
