URDU LANGUAGE : My Identity

The poster was made following the idea that my language and my mother tongue is my identity. To represent 'identity', I used my fingerprint whose portion when magnified reveals my mother tongue 'URDU'. It shows that one’s mother tongue is an integral part of one’s identity and is the gateway to understand a person’s culture. I have embedded a few verses by the poet latif saddiqi in the finger print which can be translated as:
“Urdu is the language of friendship, the reconciliation of skies
An ocean of art and knowledge, the languageof all
In it the vision of brotherhood and secretsof love.
This is a complete culture, not just a language
It abounds in the essence of propriety, this garment of the country,
Urdu is my identity."

POEM BASED POSTER

"To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
and eternity in an hour"
William blake’s prose to me seemed the poet’s reverence to every form of life and object existing in a harmoniousorder in nature. Visually I took threeelements in nature plants, water and air, and made an illustration usingearthly harmonious and soft combination of colors to express harmony of human with nature.
