Post Office Gallery - Visual Identity

Identity Design for the Post Office Gallery in Ballarat, Australia.

The aim of the project was to update their existing logo with something modern and fresh. My focus for the project was to incorporate some of the architectural strength the building held into the new logo. As the Gallery is a contemporary Art Gallery the logo needed to play a modern crowd but still remain respectful of its heritage. My logo and subsequent branding focuses on blending the industrial aspects of the building and its heritage but blending it into a modern design.
Here are some of the supporting graphics that interplay in the business stationery. As stated earlier the building is a contemporary Art Gallery and this random and sporadic play on the logo was a bold yet suitable choice to use as the supporting graphics for the logo.

Simplicity was key in developing the stationery for the business. Focusing on the 3 colours of Black, White and Gold to achieve this, along with utilising various textured options of the primary logo.

Vinyls were an addition to the project, the Gallery needed a sense of visual interest to aid the viewer throughout the Gallery, yet not distract from its primary function which was to showcase various arts and exhibitions.
