This is my selction of creative portraits. Every person in this portfolio item is photographed in a creative way and I´ve added some kind of a twist when comes to processing, lightning, colors and the technical aspects. I have specialized in portrait photography over the years and I find it fascinating how far you can push the traditional field of portrait photography. I focus a lot on the lighting and the processing of the files, that being said I´m not a big fan of letting photoshop do all the creative work for me. I have to be on top of lighting techniques and be prepared before I do the shoot, even though a lot of my strong portraits comes to life during the shoot out of coincidences. The pictures below is captured on the street in India, in a perfectly controled studio lighting or in an office with more creative window lights. The key here is to be "switched on" like Albert Watson told in one of his lectures. You never know when a creative idea can come flying by, the important thing is to actually catch it, embrace and putting the idea into life while on the photography set.
