ZAOLANE is an unusualcollective created in novembre 2011 by Paola, Elizabeth and Viviane.
The three artistsstudied together at Gobelins, l'école de l'image (Paris) and graduated the sameyear. They put their creativity and skills in common to create their firstpiece of work "Portraits d'Archives". The good balance between eachartist's strengh and personality fed the pictures that have been litterallycreated by "six hands".
"Portraitsd'Archives", was first exhibited at Fotofever art fair in Paris in november2011, and raised a lot of interest. Elizabeth, Paola and Viviane are currentlyworking on their next pictures to complete "Portraits d'Archives".
They created anastonishing series of works, inspired by 18th century paintings,critical in their day of the Establishment.
It depicts parts of our contemporary History, ourways of life and actual preocupations. It reflects our human condition andstages the Establishment with a touch of irony!
