PORTO NA MEMÓRIA | MEMORIES WITH PORTO
                                                                                                   inspired by Joy Division

Inspired by the Atmosphere written and created by Ian Curtis, this (done last year) was the proposal for a totally art direction centered project. The centre of the art direction, in this specific case, was the City of Porto (Oporto) and Joy Division. Ultimately, it was desired that we, the students, would somehow create or underline similarities between manchester at the transition years between the 60's and 70's (Joy Division's time) and the city of Porto. Co-produced with a colleague of mine and directed by me. I had very very little experience in video at the time (this was my first serious "video" project) so there are a lot of rough cuts, poorly filmed moments, but I'm still very happy with the final result. I hope you enjoy and I hope the message gets to you!

Post-scriptum 2015: Come to think now, this was the very first thing I ever wrote and directed, with absolutely no notion of production time, team, actors or whatsoever. This was 100% a domestic production, meaning we used or collegues who danced, the old Lady was actually my co-producer's Grandma... The simple things! This was done back when I was on my Bachelor's/Course Degree in Sound&Image (Film Studies).
LIGHT\COLOR\COMPOSITION
This is a brief collection of my favorite and most proud shots in terms of framing, light, color, etc. The ones that filled me with a strange mix of pride and happiness.
