  • Edgar Degas - “Art is not what you see but what you make others see.”
Batman - “As a man, I'm flesh and blood; I can be ignored, I can be destroyed. But as a symbol I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting.”

While most would see disconnection between these two quotes, artist and graphic designer, Ryan Lewis, is a working example of the truth both men speak on the everlasting power of art Whether his art is purposefully intended for branding and advertisement, or for simple storytelling. His art is insightful and deep, yet not intimidating to the untrained eye; timeless while still functioning as modern; beautiful while remaining haunting and stirring. For the generation who was told that they could achieve anything they wanted, Ryan Lewis has taken the parental bedtime mantra and forged it into a career. Oh, and he owns his own dark knight costume.

Since graduating from the prestigious school of communication design at Texas State University, Ryan Lewis has kept a steady influx of clients happy with his gift for taking small seed concepts and flourishing them into fully detailed workings. Whether it’s conceptualizing for local indie music artists, blogosphere writers, photographers, or website rebranding, Ryan Lewis is a graphic designer for all seasons. He is fully knowledgeable about what the industry wants and expects while still keeping his creativity and taste for new and innovative ideas.

Ryan Lewis is based in the Austin, Texas area and is up to any challenge that should be offered his way. In company with art and graphic design, he enjoys peanut butter sandwiches, kayaking, ultimate Frisbee, multiple viewings of Doctor Who, anything written by Grant Morrison, Mountain Dew: Code Red on tap, and controlled mild to heated debates.
