In late 2013 I got the chance to design the self-contained Gear & Gadget Guide for Popular Mechanics. Although I had designed 8 of the regular issues up until this point, this was the first time I was given the freedom to set the app's internal design language (within the Popular Mechanics branding of course). In fact aside from the cover, which was designed after I left, every single one of the screens in the app was designed by me. I worked closely with the Senior Art Director Peter Herbert, and in the end was extremely happy with the results.
