Launched in 2006 as a personal blog, Polkadot has been created and curated by Angelo Superti and Federica Richiardone with a simple purpose: to post articles in English and in Italian about beloved topics such as design, art and various trends.
The simple-but-effective graphic layout and the variety of its contents have immediately attracted numerous readers inside and outside Italy. Step by step, Polkadot has started to escalate the world of alternative information and, after one year due to its success among the readers, the authors have decided to expand the editorial staff to enrich the content and to give birth to what today we define an online magazine.
Nowadays, Polkadot looks at design and art on a global scale offering unique perspective on unusual topics making the blog interesting for both designers and the general public.
Art, design, music, fashion, advertising, new trends .... all the contents covered online will be included in the free press but with a different style and in-depth articles in order to offer the reader more ideas.
The editorial staff will be working to select only the most interesting and original topics to be published on the mag during the period preceding the release. In addition to the content covered online, the free press will highlight new features, always in style with Polkadot, such as: typography, comics, travel, eco lab, cinema, new talent
21 modules per spread; pocket size: easy to use and compact.
Our goal is to have a pocket format that might be easy to use and not bulky, but without sacrificing the content. The Polkadot Mag can be folded like a map and this allows maximum handiness but also pleasure in reading.
