  • "Pol" is my first illustrated book. I wrote the story and illustrated everything on it. It is designed for children, 9-12 years old, but it can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone.

"Pol" tells the tale of a young kid from the island of Arenys that goes on a journey to bring his best friend back from the dead. The book is meant to teach a very positive message on the meaning of life, in a way that is very easy to understand and pretty enjoyable.

  • Design Process
  • I explored a lot of styles during the sketch process
  • I even experimented with a more "traditional" approach to the characters
  • Getting closer. I loved this version of Pol, but decided that it needed something else, so I added the extra facial hair and the big red nose, making him sort of a monkey-hybrid.
  • Another version of the more "human" Pol
  • The "Philosopher", one of the book's main characters
  • One of  the most challenging things of this proyect was working with such a limited color palette.
