Plein Air
Personal ongoing project that will never end. Vintage/vintage-style clothing and home decor boutique. Tagline: vintage quality. Since, you know, the things of the past weren't meant to be obsolete in a few years. For example, my Electrolux vacuum that is at least 25 years old, and sucks better than anything other vacuum I know.
The whole idea that began this project was that the store would be decorated so that upon setting foot into the store, you would find yourself in a small clearing in a forest. Clothes would be hanging from tree branches, dappled light would shine from the ceiling, obscured by leaves. The carpet would be green, but would wear into a brown. Perhaps a waterfall would flow behind the cash register, a giant stone slab. A getaway for cityfolk. Maybe someday I will open this store in NYC.
If you want to hear more of this story, ask me about it sometime. I get new ideas for it every day.
