Placotine first appeared in À toi la Parole! (published by the CFORP in 2007), a teacher’s guide for developing communication skills in kindergarten aged children. Since then the character has been revisited many times, most notably as a mascot and regular feature for the magazine Minimag . This magazine has been in print since 2008, it is distributed Canada-wide in French language schools (35 000 copies) and produces four issues annually.
This is a montage of some of my favorite Placotine cartoons.

This is the most recent cartoon, produced for the Spring 2014 Minimag, in this issue Placotine explores
a pow-wow and learns about Native culture.

An organization for the hearing impaired developed a version of À toi la Parole! in sign language. On this DVD, the stories and songs about Placotine were signed by an actor while the illustrations appeared in the background.
