Custom PixlCrew Logos
AKA my entry for a school contest
AKA my entry for a school contest
My building at Francis Tuttle is having a school contest to find the most interesting (but still simple) logo for the creative arts wing of our information technology building, which is where I go to class every morning.
This contest is also my class's monthly creative challenge for April, so it is mandatory for us to participate.
The requirements for the contest were to develop a fun, descriptive identity for the Creative Arts wing of the Information Technology building, which is dubbed with the name, PIXLCREW. (Think pixel)
-PIXLCREW stands for this sentence: Passion, Imagination, and Xcellence will Launch you into the Crew.
CREW represents; Creatives Ready to Enter the Workforce.
-The logo is going to represent these programs at my school: Graphic Communications, Audio/Video Production, Web Design & Development, and 3D Animation & Visual FX.
-Along with that, the logo has to be school-appropriate.
-It can only use up to four colors; black and white count as colors. Vector formats were recommended.
I used two colors on one, one on the other, and neither had a vector format.
-We have to own all rights to our royalty-free, original files, including fonts and/or brushes, and these files should all be included with submission.
Along with a couple notes about the instructors, that was it.
I could not decide which logo I should submit for the contest, so my instructor decided to include both in one submission. She said that I should include both potential logos in the Behance portfolio, as well.
