Client: In-house, Coutts ARKEN.
Initiated this unique brief with one goal. To stay memorable, well beyond the credential pitch and presentation by a Coutts ARKEN Account Manager. I saw this as a win/win situation for all of us involved.
As a big fan of pop-up books and the mechanical engineering that make things 3D, I wanted to bring to life this unique mailer. The card structure replicated the shape of the final productions modular display units in the car showrooms. I rapidly art directed to a handmade prototype, then acquired approval from the sales and marketing team to produce a limited edition batch.
In the next two days, I personally handmade six of these quality and fully functional elasticated 3D mailers which were presented to French car maker, Citroen. It was part of a three way pitch to design and manufacture the proposed C3 modular graphic display units for the network of Citroen showrooms throughout the UK.
I collaborated with a 3D Industrial Designer, who managed to create a CG walkthrough of a Citroen showroom, to show how the modular displays would look within the indoor environment. This CG was burnt to a CD which also was loaded with words of reassurance, that Coutts ARKEN had the everything in place to design and manufacture this project in one campus.
Coutts ARKEN won the 3 way pitch!
