Piece-A-Pizza is a contemporary pizza take-away spot in OR Tambo International Airport, South Africa. Piece-a-Pizza focuses a lot on convenience and quick service - whether you're grabbing a quick slice of pizza, a croissant, or a coffee. All of this had to be portrayed in the design. We had to come up with a design language that would relate to the majority of people, as this is in an airport, in a very diverse South Africa. Curved shapes, bright reds and slick finishes were incorporated to create a shop that really stands out in the crowd. The holistic brand language & elements is easily achieved in new stores. In more recent designs we incorporated the use of wooden finishes that warms up the space. We are currently working on restaurants / diners & stand alone take-away shops for the brand.
