Picassimal Modern Pet Art
Picassimal evolved when I was challenged to find pet art that was personal, abstract and embraced a modern design aesthetic.
Picassimals are Picasso inspired minimalist drawings that capture the true spirit of a beloved pet. Each Picassimal is hand drawn from a pet’s photo and colorized using mixed media, then digitally reproduced on
8 X 10 gallery wrapped stretched canvas. Typically I let the animal’s spirit speak to me when choosing the colors for the image, however, I can customize the colors to suit the pet owner’s needs.
Picassimals make great gifts and can also be customized as pet memorials. Pet memorials include year of birth and year of passing and the pet’s favorite toy or object. I can also include a pet owner posing with their pet or add on additional pets in one Picassimal. I require a full body photo of the pet, sitting or standing pose works best. Since these are abstract, I ask for information about the pet which helps me capture the true spirit of the pet in the drawing.
