It all started back in 1978 while stationed aboard a Naval Missile Destroyer. There it was in the ship's store just staring at me behind a pane of glass, challenging my conscious to be bought. It was a Yashica FX2, clearly not the best choice for a knowledgeable photographer, but for the novice and my budget it was a good match.
Lord knows how many times I dropped that camera on the ships deck during rough seas, but she refused to die. I still have that camera today and use it for most, if not for all of my black and white shots.
Over the years I obtain several brand digital cameras, but found the Canon "D" and "Mark D" preferences to best suit my projects.
