The assignement was to pick one of our phobias and create a poster expressing it, whether to show that fear, make it funny, vainquish it...
My personal fear is of the compact crowd, of being trampled on. I chose to express it by desacralizing it.
The poster is made of vectorized shoe prints in various shades of grey to make them fade away. I then added the lyrics from a very famous song by Edith Piaf, ‘The Crowd’, the translation of the sentence being ‘wisked away by the crowd’. The poetic words in the font Triplex written in bright pink transform my fear into a poetic statement instead of a phobia.
