Philadelphia Pokemon Logo and Poster

The concept behind this project was to create a logo for Pokémon gaming events in and around the greater Philadelphia area. The main purpose of the logo is to represent a newly constructed website that will allow its users to conveniently preregister for event ahead of time.

I began with deconstructing the classic Liberty Bell as a potential reference due to the fact it is so often used to represent the city. The wooden beam stood out to me as a key point where I could include the name or initials in some fashion. What you see below is what the final version became, two symmetrical “P”s.

As for the Poke-ball and the bell I used them to reference directly to Pokémon. The ball of course speaks for itself and just adds to the over all design while I used the iconic crack in the Liberty Bell to also pay homage by using Pikachu’s tail as the shape of the crack. I’ve deemed this design the Poke-Bell.
The poster below was my second project for Philadelphia Pokemon. The poster itself needed to be very eye catching as well as provide enough information about the event front and center to attract the people that don't normally attend or know that these event take place.
These are just a few of the assets I created in Adobe Illustrator before I worked them into the final version in Photoshop. I had a really fun time creating these all of these graphics and wanted to share them.
