Photography is often about trying to capture the "moment".
Staged photography involves a performance enacted before the camera with scenarios directed or manipulated by their maker. Since the mid '70s, American photographer Laurie Simmons has staged scenes set for her camera with dolls, dummies and objects to create photographs that reference domestic scenes. This photographic application simulates fictional places, people and situations with the real life.
The images of the third part of this project have a satiric orientation. They reveal "moments" of the lives of their heroes, that together with their captions, give "clear" explanations about their purpose.
