Starting the swale (water retention ditch)
Swales trap runnoff, and they put the water underground, thereby restoring the water table
Within just a few months we had an immediate yield of beans, and rye! The beans fix nitrogen and make the land even better!
There were some bricks lying around so I figured "Why not build an herb spiral?"
Had a pretty fast yield on this property in just a few months. They don't call it Farmers Branch for nothing, the soil is great! I heard I am the first to farm here in 50 years!
