Penguin Book - Dracula
This was set as a uni project for the Penguin book competition (killing two birds with one stone). The choice of book was assigned at random from a selection of Penguin classics and I was lucky enough to get Dracula. I studied existing covers and all them reflected exactly what you'd imagine: Gothic, dark, grungy and themed in a mature manner. With everything else I do I took my typical alternative look on the subject and created this quirky contemporary piece. I understood the cover had to reflect the books content but I wanted to bring it away from what you'd expect on hearing the title Dracula. I feel I achieved this and was even happier with the printed finish presented on the book itself.
