After being approached by Brighton & Hove City Council to concept a product that would increase pedestrian safety and improve mortality rates, it was necessary to fully research all areas that can effect road safety and pedestrian behaviour.
The following report is a personal study documenting statistics and issues regarding the pedestrian safety of able bodied members of the UK public. Particular study and attention is paid to the population of Brighton & Hove City.
It was necessary to use design principles and a clear colour strategy to effectively communicate the information. This allows the document
to be organised into accessible and useful areas in which comparisons to relevant information can be made.
The document was used to support the resulting product, "The Pause Safety & Awareness System" at various exhibitions and events.
