The assignment was to design package and identity for a french product so it could be launched in the Norwegian market.

Patisserie is a made up name for a supplier of French quality pastries for the Norwegian market. The products will be sold in delicacy-boutiqes and in cafés that doesn’t have their own
bakery. At the start there will also be a concept store in the
central part of Oslo where you can buy and taste the pastries with a cup off coffee. With the profile we want to show french clichés and humour with simple Scandinavian design. The french motives are the pointy mustache, the striped T-shirt with the red scarf and the little snobbish quality-stamp.
The packages can be used for different pastries with the same stripes in different volumes. A consistent use of a sealing red band with stamps showing witch product it is. The interior of the concept store is using the profile active. The black and white stripes becomes shelves where the products are exposed in spotlight. The band is used as a red carpet leading the customer to the cashier. It is also hiding the cashbox under the display of glass.
