Path of Eos was a level that went through many changes over the course of the GOW3 project. This is a project that I started from the very beginning and finished out to the end. All of the rock polygons you see in this level are created from multiple rocks I created in Zbrush then meshed together in Maya. Once I got the look I wanted with the rocks meshed together to create a wall I cut the polygons in together to create large walls of rock. About 80% of all the rock you see are cut and welded together to create the large rock walls. Everything in the scene (textures, shaders, polygons, objects etc.) I created using various programs such as Maya, Zbrush, and Photoshop. Because of time and other levels I had to complete, this final lighting pass you see was done by our lead environment artist. I will post more pics below of early lighting that I did.
