Pasquotank County Public Safety Building

 Elizabeth City, North Carolina
Programming and Master Planning for this 40,000 SF facility was completed in 2003 as a portion of the comprehensive Space Needs Study performed for Pasquotank County.  Building design began in 2004 and construction was completed in early 2006.  The public safety center contains not only the Sheriff's Office, but also the County's 911 Communication Center, Emergency Management Services, and the District Attorney's Offices.  The facility features a hardened structure and highly efficient redundant mechanical systems with full generator back-up for the entire County complex of two adjacent buildings, the Library and Courthouse.
