It is believed lifetime of any kind of living is just one way journey. Majority of people take their existence on Earth as one great opportunity which lasts to the very final minute of their lives. Our duo called this project ‘Part Two’ in order to remind people that death should be taken more as the transition rather than the end.

The form of designed coffin is meant to be understood as the womb while embryo pose of the decedent symbolizes a new birth. Round shape of the item stands for womb during pregnancy which is comprehensible as secure shelter for expected ones.

Biodegradable plastic was chosen as the main material for production of the casket because of features such as early decomposition and solidity. Designed item consists of three main parts:

BASE
The main function of the base is simply to place decedent. The base needs to be covered with middle lid while transporting body from one location to the other.

MIDDLE LID
Smaller lid has four angled hooks which can be inserted into four corresponding slots designed in the purpose of locking coffin by slightly turning the middle lid clockwise.

TOP LID
Top lid is designed with round cut due to the placement of a tree or any other kind of seedling and necessary amount of soil.

Cemeteries can be transformed into family friendly parks where people can spend time with closest ones and remember their loved ones. Trees are considered to be memorials for decedents whose existence are meant to transit to other forms of life. Geo location app for iPhone and Android devices would help finding location of the particular tree in densely planted park area. Integrated social features would provide information about last checked-in visitors, date of the funeral and other decedent related data also as possibility to share good words online about those who are at peace.

Imagine tree's roots spreading through the body of decedent where the clay serves as the reservoir of life, energy and human spirit which is transformed into leaves and flesh of the tree. Imagine one entity of past and future which can be appreciated at the present.
