Parametric Walling Systems

A simple preliminary exercise to experiment with basic parametric commands, the brief calls for a fully adjustable walling system. The wall is designed taking cues from the Engineer Eladio Dieste of Uruguay, and uses a simple mathematical equation to develop a "frequency" which determines the top and bottom profile of the wall in question. The two profiles are then lofted to create a smoothe surface. By adjusting the frequencies the wall face can be made to be free standing.

We can therefore concentrate on the "brick", the elemental building block of the entire wall. A singular brick was decided to explore new ideas of intricacy and form. It attempts to tie into alternative ideas of Fineness as mentioned within the Thesis.
