Patterned Paper Pieces

  • Paper Art
    Anything Can Be
  • This is the biggest piece I have done so far. It measures about 1ft high, by 4in wide, by 6.5ft long. The inspiration started with my favorite Shel Silverstein poem "Anything Can Be." I then used a little doodle I did to get the idea for the shapes used. The paper is screen printed with a pattern, then coiled and quilled into the shape of the letters. The patterns are made from pieces of the cover illustration of "Where the Sidewalk End" -- the book in which the poem is found. Anything can be.
