Pantone Project: 35mm HD
Here’s a new piece of mine that, frankly, I’m in love with. It’s the funniest, saddest, little roll of film I’ve ever met. And it’s still virgin, which only adds to its character value. I wonder, could it be aware of its own tragicomic existence, capturing the essence of both the comedy and the tragedy of the chaos ensued by an art form trying to hold onto a single identity as it is split in two by the battle of analog vs. digital. The unmistakable color of Kodak carries the image over the edge as it recalls the glory gone by of an empire that once hailed, "You push the button, we'll do the rest," without possibly being able to foresee a future in which photography would be only button pushing, and there would be no rest.
