Exploring Image and Typography - This is an exploration of the relationship between typography and image to create form. The subject matter (Verner Panton's 1960 "Moon-pendant lamp") inspired typographic and image treatment choices that created a visual language based on geometric shapes, vertical elongation, rhythm, and repetition to create a design that celebrates the lamp itself.
This design received an award in the student category at the Kansas City chapter of the AIGA's A-4 awards in 2009.
