Paintings, Drawings, Doodles
and other places that my head wanders
I miss having a giant studio, the smell of gesso, cans of paint brushes. However, we live in a wee little house with four kids and I am smack dab in the middle of raising them all. Most days, if there is time to draw, I resort to using my old dining room table. When I was a student at SVA, way back in the early nineties, I promised Lucio Pozzi, that I would draw everyday . . . even if I had a house full of kids. I guess he had a hunch that was the direction I was headed for.

I felt compelled to post a few of the most recent works, especially after my grandmother passed away last month. The top image is my memory of her yellow house. The other images pull from that same space, from wonder, from longing, from hope.
