  • I don’t remember the first time I kept a crayon in my hands but I guess it happened when I was 3 or 4...the moon had already been reached a few years before, and I was just starting to reach out for my own “satellite”.My connection between mind and fantasy, media, colors and papers never has stopped. So I became an artist “in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad”: this is my way of life, my way of living, feeling and speaking.I don’t want to typecast my work…I know, it sounds like a commonplace but my early own experience taught me to be always prepared for challenges…thus I became a multi-task artist with a number of irons in my artistic fire. As to my technique, I mix traditional and digital…but properly done, I dislike superficial effects which just hide the core of the artistic message, Botox and art are not compatible - so to speak. If I had to choose a technique: I have a special relationship with watercolor and ink and it is wonderful to deal with water…sometimes I let this medium be “the boss” who teaches me to give free way to this natural process before exposing it to the air. Usually “I’m water, my friend”, so for me the best way of going ahead is to let the water find freely its way through the stones and other obstacles. When I start to create it’s like a travel where the best is to take advantage of the process keeping an eye on the goal…if we look too much at the goal we lose the process; on the other hand, if we don’t look at the goal we will be lost in the process, and it is easy to lose both of them. We have to learn on each process… my personal law is never to stop learning…if I stop, if I'd think I have reached the top…I would be kind of a “dead man walking” - so I'd rather keep walking alive. For me, art is passion, is like dancing a Tango…you can do it and enjoy it - it doesn’t matter whether I’m sad, angry or happy! Art is a marriage “until death do us part”.
