Paintings by Gary Anderson

Gary Anderson has worked in Huntsville, Alabama as a technical illustrator since 1983. He graduated from Athens State University where he majored in art and minored in computer science. In his spare time, he paints in oil and watercolor. Gary paints familiar subjects in a realistic, illustrative style that often displays a sense of humor.

Recently his work has been exhibited in Huntsville at the Huntsville Museum of Art, the Von Braun Center, and the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. He has also exhibited in Decatur, Alabama at the Carnegie Visual Arts Center and Athens State University in Athens, Alabama. Gary participates in Therapy Partners’ Da Vinci Dogs as an “artist muse” and enjoys donating paintings to charity fundraisers that auction artwork. He helps organize and exhibits in the Athens State University Annual Alumni Art Exhibit. Gary is a member of the Huntsville Art League and does portraits and landscapes on commission.
