Packaging /// A-68930 Album

  • This original album artwork/concept (including photography) stemmed from a self-created story. The story involves a negligent pharmaceutical company spilling a dopamine-receptor agonist (A-68930) into a town's water source. This agonist creates an unfortunate series of events resulting from its repeated & continual ingestion by the townspeople. The people unknowingly become addicts. Once the government realizes what has occurred, it's too late. People would rather continue fulfilling their dopamine need through physical drug abuse, than feel the anxiety of their body's chemical imbalance.

The artwork directly reflects this dark story. The cover features an ambiguous image that is beautiful, yet disturbing when the subject matter is realized. The featured songs continue this feeling of hopelessness & anxiety associated with the story. The dark, grungy texture with clawed handwriting oppose, yet balance the smooth sans-serif type.
