  • In 2007 this project was the first experiment of creating a real product with a function instead of a prototype. By printing a wristwatch case in 50 minutes implant a Swiss mechanism my Bell&Ross was ready to be wear.

    A wristwatch was for me a way to show how a concept like that could actually work.This concept is giving an opportunity to people to create they own products at home without being involved with mass production procedure. This technology opens a lot of doors, self personalization, and low cost production, creating unique pieces. Additive processes make it possible to produce the object, particle by particle, according to the data sent from the computer.

    This flexibility allows unprecedented freedom in the shape of the design and the control of the material.The work being explored developed in various disciplines, illustrates how new concepts in the production of material are emerging, thanks to the adaptation and use of additive fabrication technologies.

    In the future we may produce our own goods in our house, make things locally with our neighbourhood 3D printers to eliminate shipping costs and CO2 emissions. In 2010 this project was presented a the FULL PRINTE3D exhibition in Barcelona, introducing additive manufacturing systems and presenting a serie of projects that analyse the conceptual implications for design of this kind of production.
