We collaborated with MERI Media to capitalise on the creative freedom afforded by GF Ventures to develop this visually stunning, interactive dedicated iPad magazine app, the first of its kind.
The POST magazine app takes full advantage of the iPad's capabilities to display rich content in a revolutionary new way that bypasses traditional methods of dissemination to engage readers.
We developed POST in conjunction with MERI Media, a company founded to provide a luxury iPad publishing service for the mobile channel. Creating the POST app was a perfect opportunity to exercise the creative freedom and innovation of GF Ventures, and live up to the notion of 'a day for adventure'. We developed it in response to a gap in the digital publication market – where many publishers are simply transferring their content into digital iterations, MERI was keen to develop content specifically for the iPad and use out expertise to make it happen.
Our role was to provide MERI with UX advice, planning, build and testing for the app. POST contains a myriad of highly adaptable, media-rich experiences that traditional forms of media would have difficulty replicating. The glossy editorial style features fashion, music and film on one comprehensive platform.
Since its launch, POST has set the standard for iPad publications and has garnered praise from the tech world. It was chosen as iTunes 'App of the Week' and scooped the Favourite Website award for 'Mobile of the Day'.
