New work for Asset International. About recordkeeping platforms for retirement plans. Whenever I think about my retirement, something about getting older always makes me think of mermaids. Actually retirement makes me think of death, but having Charon as a metaphor for recordkeepers/guides was inappropriately morbid and more than a bit obvious. There's a body of water in this one, so I still kept part of that idea. I really liked the other two sketches as well, which are mostly Jataka tales. Heavy on the mythology for this project. I actually may end up drawing the snapping turtle one up for my own purposes. They make me think of home--I have so many stories from elementary school about people whose cousins lost fingers/toes/limbs to snapping turtles. Thank you SooJin!
