PFClab is my freelance graphic design, screen printing, illustration, and branding company. It all started with a sketch I made of an antelope skull, which I then illustrated in more detail, and made into a silkscreen.

I had already started absentmindedly sketching the antelope when I began to research its significance. I found that in Plains Indians tribes, the presence of an antelope was a symbol for a message from the spirit world, meaning that even though one might be going through a terrible struggle, the outcome would make the struggle worthwhile. After learning this, I chose to refine the sketch and use it as my logo.
I love rubber stamps. I love the art of hoping for an outcome and never really knowing how it will actually turn out until it's finished. I also love that rubber stamps are more sustainable in that you can stamp literally anything for promotion without having to print. I have used this stamp for inside book covers, boxes, envelopes, and countless cards.

And then I printed it on everything!
It wasn't long before I began binding blank journals and using the silk screened prints as covers, which inspired me to create more illustrations.
The next and perhaps most important step once my husband and I began to sell these journals was to make a business plan. We created a pricing structure, a mission statement, goals, a complete brand, and brand guidelines.

I soon began to offer branding services on Etsy for other sellers.
