The photography: Those who know me well will know that I have more experience than most in working with jewellery so I assumed this project would not be too much of a challenge. I wasn't entirely wrong but I was a bit strapped for resources around the house in which to sculpt a make-shift studio! Eventually I settled with the top of a cardboard cake box and two white tissues. I pointed my powerful flash at the white ceiling and whilst almost nurturing the ring and camera with the tissues, I took a few pics. Inevitably a small amount of post-production work was involved but this took no longer than 20 minutes. I've made a promise to myself that I must shoot more personal projects from now on.
