Made for a contest where the brief was to create a piece of forniture mainly in metal.
The project creation has started with a very simple concept: to be visually complete the object had to be used by someone, in order to give a new meaning of the relationship between two elements.
With this line of reasoning it was reached the conception of Otto.
When the user seat on the stool and leans to the counter, he creates a kind of curve with the beck and the
head, which combined with the shape of the stool, shaping an ideal octopus.
The stool is designed without gluing and welding, to facilitate the disassembly of the various components during the phase of disposal, and also to facilitate the transport phase.
It was decided to use aluminum for the structure by exploiting the low-density, opting for a color that might remind one of the animal from which it draws inspiration.
