Contemporary experimental music from Belarus concert was organized by Zachęta National Gallery of Art together with Fundacja Sztuka i Technologia (The Art And Technology Foundation) and took place during the exhibition “Opening the Door – Belarusian Art Today”.
The album documents a concert entitled “Belarus Sound Art in Poland”. Fundacja Sztuka i Technologia (The Art And Technology Foundation) after establishing a partnership with Foundamental.net, in cooperation with Zachęta National Gallery of Art, organised on 22.07.2011 a one day live event presenting Belarusian contemporary experimental music. Thanks to our Belarusian partner one of the best Belarussian experimental artists were invited, i.e. Knyaz Mishkin, i/dex, Pavel Ambiont, who were supported by Polish artists: kim_nasung, Harpakahlo, Vasn Piparjuuri, Gold Plated Face and Krzysztof Orluk. The concert was recorded and the audio material complements the album which commemorates this unique clash of different musical genres and cultures.
The CD version of the album was specially designed and is limited to only 500 copies. The 20×20 cm hard black cover with the embossed title includes a 36 page booklet with high quality black and white photographs taken during the concert, all information about the “Opening the Door – Belarusian Art Today” exhibition, as well as a pressed CD.
