Typographic Composition
This being my biggest project I undertook a lot of experimentation and became a lot more knowledgeable with different typefaces and began to understand and become more clear about typography. In response to John Caige’s musical piece 4:33, I produced my own typographic interpretation based around the notion of ‘there is no such thing as silence’. Recording my own
4:33 audio in a screen print workshop environment I have tried to match each sound to a
typeface that has an onomatopoeic nature.
