One Hope - Russia Project

Simply put, a student group project was put together to conceptualize new ways to engage youth in Russia with media and the arts in collaboration with our client, One Hope. We proposed making an art festival that runs semi-annually called, "Underground" where youth can submit their various art pieces and engage with each other. Each festival would have a "theme" that art would be created around.

In order to give our clients an idea of what Russian kids could create, we made a video based around a potential theme of Scripture: Deuteronomy 30:19, " ... I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life... " The video touches on issues that a Russian audience could relate to, and ultimately leaves the choice of choosing "life or death" to the viewer.

 Brainstorming

With the combined efforts of classmates, this project really came into fruition.
I (along with co-producers, Brettley Ruggles and Michael Boggs), came up with ideas and oversaw the production. The ideas came from meetings with each other and the final concept I sketched out and tweaked with Brettley. I was involved in the making from pre-production, to creating the set, and right down to finding the music and working with the editor. It was a great experience to see the idea really come to life.
