Every day we have the pleasure of working with some great clients with great ideas, yet we could have never anticipated the challenge that would walk through the (new) doors of Digital Annexe on the 23rd May 2013.
With a large amount of us sat around our brand new meeting room table in steps Sofia Davis, founder of One For The Boys, with a challenge – she needed a digital presence in a little over 3 weeks ready for a launch live on ITV on the 17th June.
We should probably start by giving you a little bit of background on One For The Boys…
One For The Boys is initially a UK campaign to help raise awareness across male cancers. Male cancers aren’t all prostate and testicular, as are well known, but also cover many other cancers including bowel, brain, lung and even breast cancer (Yes, that’s right, men can get breast cancer). The funds raised will be going to help The Royal Marsden, based here in London, to assist in getting them a brand new Diagnostic Imaging Centre. Basically this will help earlier detection of cancer, better diagnoses and better treatment plans.
This high profile campaign even has celebrity backing. Samuel L. Jackson, of Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained and Avengers Assemble fame, is leading the way as the chairman of this charitable campaign and is likely to bring with him even more names to really give this campaign a huge level of gravitas.
Not only that, but we’re working with the likes of The Black Arts Company and Frank PR to get this campaign up and running, and renowned photographer Robert Wilson has been involved with producing the initial television ad and photography assets.
You can find out more about One For The Boys over at the site, or by following them on Twitter @one4theboys and liking them on Facebook.
