One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
The brief was to create a cover for Ken Kesey's One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, I chose to use simplistic imagery to portray the many different aspects of the book, but most of all frustration and isolation, I wanted the triangle to represent the character of McMurphy a rebellious character looking in on the others within the asylum being restricted  by Nurse Ratched. I chose to use a combination of hand drawn type and letter forms to show the thin line between sanity and insanity, I chose to use a blood red as the only bright to relate to the unnecessary blood shed within the book.
